Kleinmond nestles between rugged mountain and the ocean, in the heart of a unique wild flower reserve declaired a World Heritage Site. Cape Town and the most southern tip of Africa are within easy reach. There are excellent golf courses nearby. The world renowned Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, penquin colony, bird sanctuary and vinyards with wine tasting facilities are minutes away. The new harbour development with restaurants and quaint little shops is a popular tourist attraction. There are various mountain trails that may take you to dams and waterfalls, and for the less energetic: take a walk on the boardwalk along the rugged coastline of Kleinmond. A canoe trip on the lagoon may just bring you face to face with the legendary herd of wild horses, said to be there since World War 2. The adventurous can go shark cage diving in Gansbaai, or whale watching during winter.
